all day today i felt out of sort for no particular reason. instead of continuing to snap at ian, i settled into bed at 9pm with a red velvet cupcake and a cup of green tea. i started watching "chocolat", took a break to spend way too much $$$ at the lush holiday sale, and now i'll finish watching the movie.

eh.

for the 4th time in under a year i've come down with a horrid respiratory tract infection. my head feels like it's being methodically pounded by a lead pipe. my throat is raw. i can't breathe. i can't hear. my eyes hurt. i need to vomit. miserable.

right about now health insurance would be lovely.

last night i made chana masala for dinner. pretty good for a first attempt but i really need a mortar and pestle. grinding coriander with the back of a knife sharpener does not a pestle make. i kept chewing through whole coriander seeds.
